Masonry constructions: Mechanical models and numerical applications. The numerical method (Chap. 4)
This chapter briefly describes the numerical method used to solve the equilibrium problem and implemented in COMES-NOSA, a finite element code developed at the Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell'Informazione 'A. Faedo' of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). The code has been extended to perform nonlinear heat conduction analysis on solids, even in non-stationary cases, with boundary conditions concerning temperature and thermal fluxes.
