Flexural toughness and crack strength of fiber reinforced cementitious composite
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the flexural toughness and crack strength of a cement-based composite under the effect of using recycled polypropylene (PP) fiber and recycled glass. This research study proves the feasibility of the use of glass as aggregates replacement and PP fibers for composite reinforcement. In the cementitious composite, two different ground glasses were used, namely type I ground glass having particles passing a No. 80 sieve (18 micron) and type II ground glass having particles passing a No. 200 sieve (75 micron) silica fume(SF) and rice husk ash (RH) are added to the cementitious composite.
