Foundation and embankment settlement monitoring in Alavian dam
The main aims of instrumentation and monitoring of dams are quick-checking and analyzing of dam safety during the construction stage, first impounding and in the operation time based on long term data gathering. In this paper, all of the embankment and foundation settlements of Alavian dam are measured by using magnetic settlement meters, bench marks, triaxial joint meters and geodetic network observations -as a given case- are analyzed.
