TechFab India provides solutions for country's growing infrastructure
The following paper focuses on the growing use of geosynthetics in India. Types and brief details of geosynthetics: A) Geotextile, B) Geogrids, C) Geocomposites, D) Geomembranes and E) Geosystems - Geotextile Tubes & Geotextile Bags. Sector-wise Outlook a) Transportation, b) Irrigation and Water Resources c) Waste and Sanitary Landfills. Shoreline Protection using TechFab Tech-Tubes. TechFab's Tech-tube, made of high strength engineered woven fabric were proposed as a system for protection of beach erosion. One very successful application of TechGeo nonwoven geotextile has been for landscaping in terrace and roof/podium gardens. In this application the surface on which landscaping is to be done is first leveled in the designed slope and cleared of all loose debris and dust. Over the prepared surface, drain boards or aqua ducts are installed. TechGeo nonwoven geotextile function a 'Separator' and 'Filter' layer that prevent clogging of drainage board from fills soil and facilitate the drainage of water to seep through it to the drainage board. Ballast sinking is a commonly occurring problem in railway track structures founded on wet fine-grained soils like clays and silts. The geotextile acts as a separatior preventing the penetration of the ballast particles into the fine-grinded sub grade.
