The concept of the model system for testing the anti-wind covers with smoke detectors used in active protection devices adding to the fire protection was developed. The issues related to incorrect functioning of the smoke detectors in the ventilation systems were discussed. The testing procedures are described. The anti-wind covers were tested in order to gain relevant certificates. The concept of the construction of the test stand consisting of test ventilation duct with universal chamber for fixing of the anti-wind covers equipped with the control-measurement system responsible for performing of the described testing procedures were presented.
