Investigation of smoke plume behavior in corridor fire
The comprehension of smoke fire behavior developed in tunnel or long corridor has met with important interest of scientist and engineering community for the safety of the users and the intervention of the helps. In this study, a numerical investigation of rectangular horizontal tunnel fire is presented based on COMSOL Multiphysics code. The fire flow is turbulent for a Grashof number close to 2x109 and the κ-ε model is considered. Thermal and dynamic fields' distribution in the computational domain and its profiles along three cross sections are examined and compared to experimental findings.
