Reinforced concretes
This paper report on an experimental study of the compressive strength of concrete reinforced with synthetic fiber. The addition of fibers was found to improve the compressive strength of plane concrete. Nylon 6,6 fibers with two different length were investigated as reinforcement on mechanical property of cementitious mortar. The 10 mm length fiber reinforced composites were proved to have the most promising mechanical performances. Enhancement of 30 ± 2% on compressive strength was achieved.
