The influence of glazing for the life of insulating glass units
The great influence of the glazing technology for the life of insulating glass units is discussed. In this way regard is taken of the protection against UV radiation, the choice and installation of sealant, the mechanical edge cover to withstand the effects of mechanical stresses, such as wind, the material, blocking, ventilation and drainage requirements of the rebates. The need for maintenance of the glazing varies from system to system and is mainly connected to fixing of beads and tightness of the sealing between glass and beads.
