Sensitivity analysis of nonlinear shell structures and its application to buckling constraint optimization
An exact and direct sensitivity analysis technique for largely deformed nonlinear shell structures of the elastoplastic material governed by bilinear constitutive law, which has the discontinuous sensitivities at the yielding point, is formulated based on the updated Lagrangian formulation and the Newton-Raphson iterative scheme. The sensitivity analysis technique is applied to the nonlinear sensitivity analysis of the largely deformed shell structures and the minimum weight design of shallow shell subjected to the nonlinear buckling constraint.
