Finite element mode shapes of an aluminum ribbed panel
An aluminum ribbed panel modes is predicted using finite element model and the results are compared with other models and measured modes. It is shown that the modes predicted by the model compare well to experimental data. The quadratic solid model compares particularly well, while the plate/beam model underpredicts frequencies of a few global plate modes.
