Characteristics of urethane-grouted sand for in situ seepage control
A study was carried out to determine the potential of urethane (Scotch-Seal) Chemical Grout 5610 and its constituents in the formation of in-situ seepage barrier by means of permeation grouting. Seepage and strength properties of urethane-grouted sand were assessed through a laboratory testing program. Based on the results, it is suggested that, as part of the seepage ingress design, field saturation conditions should be simulated in a laboratory testing program.
