The main topic of this report is fire damage and the possibility of recovery after calamities including some comment also referring to water damage. There are alternatives to completely replacing equipment after calamities that make it possible to recuperate the company propertiy: techniques of recovery and repaire that can also facilitate a rapid and reliable return to business and thereby reduce economic damage. The report analyzes the following factors of damage produced by fire due: to the direct action of the flames; to wetting equipment in order to extinguish the flames; to soiling due to smoke; to impregnation by odors; to corrosion by the fumes generated by chemical reactions triggered by combustion. Techniques of recuperation, repairs and analysis of cases and characteristics of the various operations are discussed.
