Safety accidents often occur in highway construction projects, for which the causations are not only from the safety management, but also from the construction techniques and equipments. The paper mainly introduces several advanced construction techniques and equipments in the highway construction abroad, which include ITS Technology. The Grader with Digitization System, Wireless Monitoring Technology, 4D Visualization Model. Applications of these techniques in highway construction can effectively reduce and prevent accidents, and improve the level of highway construction safety.
