Algae Control in Northwest Reservoirs
The use of surface waters for domestic water supplies in the Pacific Northwest entails problems not normally associated with ground‐water sources. The growth of algae in surface waters may produce problems of taste and odor, filter clogging, and slime production. Several methods for controlling these organisms have been found to be effective in Northwestern reservoirs.
