Development and Uses of Ground Water Supplies
This article discusses the beneficial uses of groundwater. This resource, rather than being over developed, is still in the infancy of its use. Furthermore, groundwater is predictable in nature and economical to develop. Wells can be constructed so that their efficiency and life expectancy are equal to, or exceed that of, other types of machinery. The author suggests that a negative connotation associated with the use of groundwater has delayed development of this resource, and is still held by a significant percentage of people engaged in planning, designing and operating water works facilities.
