Waterborne‐Disease Outbreaks, 1946–60
During the 15‐year period of 1946‐ 1960, there were 228 known outbreaks of disease or poisoning attributed to drinking water. This article reviews the outbreaks, with particular emphasis on the types of deficiencies in water supply systems or personnel that allowed the outbreaks to occur.
