Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
Small water systems present many challenges to designers as well as to the operators who must work with the facilities. Plant design must be based on raw water quality characteristics as well as on the needs of the community. Many types of filtration systems are available for use in small systems, but the design engineer must take such things as operator expertise and the physical arrangement of the system into consideration. Common problems such as loss of filter media can be addressed by the design engineer but ultimately designers and operators should work together so that a plant's theoretical design becomes an applied reality.
