Effectiveness Simulation Analysis of a New Pullout‐resistant Friction Pendulum Isolation Bearing
To address the issue of traditional friction pendulum bearings, wherein their components are prone to separation and unable to withstand vertical tension, a novel solution known as the pullout‐resistant friction pendulum bearing has been proposed. By leveraging the theoretical model and equivalent parameters of conventional friction pendulum bearings, the bearing's hysteresis behavior has been analyzed. Additionally, a finite element model has been constructed to validate the equivalent parameters and mechanical properties such as tensile and compressive bearing capacity. The findings demonstrate an increased accuracy of the theoretical equation for the introduced equivalent parameters, as presented in this study. Moreover, it has been observed that the proposed bearing exhibits a noteworthy pullout resistance effect.
