Located in western New York state, Genesee County is home to approximately 60,000 residents. For several years, towns within the county have experienced problems with both water quality and quantity. This paper discusses a project by Clark Patterson Associates, Genesee County, Monroe County Water Authority (MCWA), and Erie County Water Authority (ECWA) to develop a successful plan to update an aging infrastructure and provide water of sufficient quality and quantity to the residents of Genesee County. The plan was called the Genesee County Water Supply Program.
