Ein Gruß aus der Vergangenheit
Die Instandsetzungsarbeiten in der Tiefgarage am Hofgarten in Bonn stellten das ausführende Unternehmen, die Ed. Züblin AG, Direktion Bauwerkserhaltung, vor besondere Herausforderungen. Neben einer umfangreichen Betoninstandsetzung der Tiefgaragenkonstruktion galt es den Rohbau für eine bis dato nicht vorhandene Aufzugsanlage zu realisieren. Im Zuge von Ausschachtungsarbeiten für die Rohbauerstellung wurden historische Mauerwerksüberreste im Boden vorgefunden. Es stellte sich heraus, dass es sich bei den Funden um Überreste der alten Stadtmauer Bonns handelt. Im Folgenden galt es die Fragmente der Stadtmauer in den Rohbau für die neue Aufzugsanlage zu integrieren und für den späteren Publikumsverkehr sichtbar zu machen. Dies brachte zahlreiche planerische sowie bauausführungstechnische Änderungen mit sich, die im Verlauf der Baumaßnahme erfolgreich umgesetzt werden konnten.
A greeting from the past
The repair work in the underground car park at the Hofgarten in Bonn posed special challenges for the executing company, Ed. Züblin AG, Direktion Bauwerkserhaltung. In addition to an extensive concrete repair of the underground garage construction, the structural work for a previously non‐existent elevator system had to be carried out. In the course of excavation work for the basic structure of the building, historical masonry remains were found in the ground. It turned out that the finds were remnants of the old city wall of Bonn. In the following, the fragments of the city wall had to be integrated into the basic structure of the new elevator system and made visible to the public. This resulted in numerous planning and constructional changes, which were successfully implemented in the course of the construction project.
