Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
In his column, AWWA Executive Director Jack Hoffbuhr reflects on the signing of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) 30 years ago, and considers the impact the SDWA has had on our drinking water over the past 30 years. He mentions the successes of the SDWA, but also points out the inflexibility of such legislation. He considers the partnership formed between the federal and state governments and local water utilities as more successful at protecting the public health than the SDWA, and which also provided the framework to actually make the SDWA as successful as it has been.
