In these days of environmental concern over trace metals, a laboratory should have adequate equipment for examination of them in water supplies. An example can be drawn from the methods presently being employed by the water‐quality‐control laboratories of New York City. Details in this report supplement information contained in articles appearing in the January and May issues of the JOURNAL.
