Employee Benefits Paid by Water Utilities in the United States and Canada, 1960
This article presents an AWWA committee report on employee benefits paid by water utilities in the United States and Canada as of 1960. The purpose of the survey was to provide water utility management with information on employee benefits policies in the industry. The committee mailed out 2,198 survey questionnaires to water utilities in the United States, and 493 to Canadian water utilities. From the U.S. water utilities, 412 usable questionnaires were received, along with 73 from the Canadian utilities. This was a return of 19 per cent and 15 per cent, respectively. An example of the survey questionnaire is provided in the article.
