Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
Successful projects are the result of teams working successfully together. Assets, infrastructure and buildings are commissioned, conceived and built by people and are not just the result of applied technology. It is true that the processes, tools and technology employed will all be factors in achieving the end result, but even with building information modeling (BIM) these are still only tools, used by people, after all. It is this group of people, the project team, that will ultimately determine the success or failure of a project. Getting some understanding of the dynamics of teams, how they work and some of things that make people tick can only be of help in one's efforts to collaborate. There are two main tribes in the civil construction industry, and these contribute to some of the basic drivers that determine how people work together: design and construct.
