Research on Urban Embankment Reinforcement ‐ Example of Dadu River Embankment in Leshan City
It is imperative that urban embankment reinforcement not only consider the traditional function of flood defence, but also combine with the concept of ecological landscape in order to create a harmonious urban flood protection space. This paper takes the Dadu River embankment in Leshan City as a case study and describes a novel approach to urban embankment reinforcement design. It introduces a composite urban embankment reinforcement design scheme that considers flood control enhancement, ecological landscape, water‐friendly leisure and slow traffic. This scheme may serve as a reference for similar projects.
