Chlorination and Coagulation of Humic and Fulvic Acids
The findings of an investigation of chloroform yields resulting from the chlorination of naturally occurring humic and fulvic acids before and after coagulation suggest that chloroform levels in drinking water can be lowered by reducing the total organic carbon content of the raw water or by reducing the amount of chlorine added during treatment.
