In his column, AWWA Executive Director Jack Hoffbuhr discusses two topics: providing the best customer service possible, and participating actively in AWWA and encouraging others to do the same. He stresses the importance of making customer service part of the culture of the organization, not just words in a slogan or on the company letterhead. Secondly, he states two important reasons for being actively involved in AWWA: it sharpens your own skills, thus allowing you to grow professionally and build relationships that will advance your career; and, sharing with others your own knowledge, expertise, and experience.
