USEPA readies to finalize delayed rulemakings
The US Environmental Protection Agency's (USEPA's) recent attention on implementing security initiatives and finalizing and implementing the revised arsenic standard has delayed progress on several other Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) rulemakings. This article reviews major rules and actions that have been proposed or will soon be proposed. Chief among them are proposals and preliminary determinations for the following rulemakings and related actions, which are considered priority rulemakings because they have statutory deadlines: Stage 2 D/DBPR and LT2ESWTR; Ground Water Rule; CCL regulatory determinations; six‐year review of current regulations; radon rule; and, MTBE.
