Im Aufsatz werden Leben und wissenschaftliches Werk von Alfred Teichmann, von 1948 bis 1969 Vertreter des Fachgebiets Statik der Baukonstruktionen an der TU Berlin, dargestellt. Teichmann ist deswegen von Interesse, weil über seine herausragende wissenschaftliche Tätigkeit vor 1945 vor allem in der Flugtechnik kaum etwas bekannt ist. Am Beispiel der Person Teichmanns werden die Verbindungen zwischen Flugtechnik und Baustatik herausgestellt.
Statics of Structures and Aircraft Technology.
Steps in the life of Alfred Teichmann (1902–1971). In this article Alfred Teichmann's life and scientific work are represented. From 1948 to 1969 Teichmann hold the chair of Statics of Structures in the faculty of Civil Engineering at TU Berlin. Teichmann's scientific work is of general interest as nearly nothing is known on his outstanding scientific activities mainly in aircraft technology before 1945. Taking Teichmann as an example the connections between aircraft technology and statics of structures in Civil Engineering are exposed.
