Trend to Satellite Treatment Plants Benefiting USFilter
This article describes a new reclaimed water satellite treatment plant in the state of Washington that serves the towns of Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, and Thurston. Treating the communities' wastewater with USFilter's immersed membrane bioreactor (MBR) skidded water reuse system will allow the plant to meet Washington's class A reclaimed water standards and thus save millions of gallons of drinking water each year. The reclaimed water will be used in the four communities for irrigation and commercial and industrial purposes, using the reclaimed wastewater where it is needed locally and thus reducing the load on the central treatment plant.
