Electrolytic Control of Algae
Biological or chemical methods for the control of algae require considerable time. Algicides often leave undesirable residuals in the treated water. Both of these drawbacks may be overcome by the electrolytic treatment of algae‐laden water. In this method of treatment, algae are killed instantaneously. Dead organisms tend to settle quickly without the addition of any coagulant.
