Special Features of Water Supplies for New Jersey Turnpike Service Areas
This article discusses the issues associated with water supply for the New Jersey Turnpike service areas, which are not only completely different from the problems of municipal and industrial supplies, but the requirements of each particular location are unique. The wide variations among the several service areas with regard to raw water quality, consumption, and site requirements make the separate study of each service area necessary. Nine years of experience with these water supplies have shown that the requirements of the system are peculiar to the New Jersey Turnpike and that few general rules apply.
