Selection of Disposal Methods for Water Treatment Plant Wastes
This article discusses several examples of wastewater disposal problems and their proposed solutions. The first example concerns additions to an existing plant and two new plants designed for the city of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The second example is a St. Paul, Minnesota, water treatment plant, which presently is dealing with some of the common issues associated with the disposal of wastes as well as from other problems that may be unique. The third example concerns Minneapolis, Minnesota, which has plans to recapture most of the available chemicals used in its treatment and softening plant.
