Structural Performance of Cold‐Formed Steel Moment‐Resisting Frame Assembled by Bolts
Moment Resisting Frame is one of the framing systems used to construct the building. In this paper, the test results of the beam‐to‐column connection assembled by bolted joints are reported. The beams and columns are cold‐formed steel, and the beams are proposed to use the built‐up members composed of channel‐oriented toe‐to‐toe. Test results from the beam‐to‐column subassemblage showed a stable cyclic behaviour, and the strength deterioration occurred after the ultimate design story drift. The in‐elastic behaviour occurred only in the bolted joint region up to the design story drift level that was expected in the ultimate limit state design.
