Die aktuell größte Baustelle des Stahlbaus Deutschlands befindet sich seit dem Jahr 2005 in Südwestdeutschland auf dem Gelände der “Neuen Landesmesse” Stuttgart. Dort wurden durch die Krupp Stahlbau Hannover GmbH sieben Messehallen errichtet, bei denen 10000 t Stahlkonstruktion mit ca. 100000 m2 Anstrichfläche ausgeführt wurden. Etwa 8000 vorgefertigte Baugruppen und ca. 600 Stahlseile mit einer Gesamtlänge von über 4 km wurden montiert. Die “Neue Landesmesse” Stuttgart wird im Jahr 2007 eröffnet werden.

One of the Germanys biggest building sites is located close to Stuttgart, called “Landesmesse Stuttgart“. Specially fans of steel constructions will find many interesting points by visiting the huge building site.
A big part of the steel contruction will be erected by Krupp Stahlbau Hannover GmbH, that means that 7 out of 9 exhibition halls must be produced, assembled and painted by Krupp Stahlbau Hannover. In other words, the construction of the 7 exhibition halls stands for 10000t of steel, consisting of 8000 single components, with a surface of 100000 m2. Furthermore Krupp Stahlbau Hannover must also handle 600 pieces of steel cable with a total length of 4000 meters. Opening of the exhibition is planned in 2007.
To face this challenge, Krupp Stahlbau Hannover enhanced many processes in terms of technical design, internal production processes and also for the assembly.
