Integration of a Privately Owned System With a Municipally Owned System
This article discusses the acquisition by the water department of Tampa, Florida, of the Purity Springs Water Company, a privately owned water company with the city of Tampa's service area. The conversion of the Purity Springs system was effected with a minimum of difficulty and inconvenience to the new customers. The procedures described in this article are applicable to the same type of operations in any water utility.
