The Jean Bouin Stadium
The whole design of Jean Bouin Stadium is based on an efficient application of all ultra high performance fibre reinforced concretes (UHPFRCs) characteristics. Given the geometrical complexity of the design, UHPFRC performances make it possible to simplify all construction processes. The UHPFRC envelope combines one single layer, the primary and secondary structure, the tight skin and architectonic aspect. Everything is precast in a factory and installed in one step. Noticeably, a new process of glass inclusion during casting of the UHPFRC roof elements was developed and validated by the Scientific and technical center for building (CSTB). Last, the use of very low material quantities results in a design with an ultra‐low environmental footprint.
