Electrophoretic mobility measurements in coagulation with aluminum salts
As aluminum concentrations are increased at constant pH, a point is reached at which the electrophoretic mobility of a particle becomes essentially equal to that of the aluminum hydroxide precipitate formed in the absence of particles. The results of this study support the contention that hydrolyzed aluminum adsorbs on the particles and forms a coating of aluminum hydroxide precipitate.
