Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
Early on in most projects, the architect will have to produce a feasibility report for the client. Obviously, this cannot be carried out until the architect has obtained the client’s brief. But the extent of the brief will be determined by the kind of feasibility required by the client. It is the architect's job to present the feasibility report to the client in a way that makes it as easy as possible for the client to come to a decision. Near the beginning of the report, one must set out exactly what he/she is being asked to do so that the report can be read with that in mind. There must also be a list of the notes or assumptions being made so that certainties can be separated from assumptions. Typical assumptions relate to whether a survey or a structural analysis has been carried out and the situation regarding boundaries and site conditions.
