Stress Concentration Factor of Welded Box High‐Strength Steel T‐Joint
In this chapter, stress concentration factor of welded box high strength steel T‐Joint is analysed. A static test on large‐scale preheating BHS T joints is conducted. The objective of the test is to study the SCF distributions under the static loading. In the static test, the SCF distributions under three basic loads (AX, IPB, and OPB) are obtained and the SCF values are used to verify the existing equation and the superposition method. In addition, the impact of welding residual stress on the stress concentration factor is also evaluated in this chapter.
