Analytical Note—A Method for Evaluating Granular Activated Carbon Adsorption Efficiency
The Rapid Fluorescence Method was used to evaluate the relative adsorption efficiency of four types of commercially available granular activated carbon (GAC), demonstrating the existence of substantial differences in the GAC adsorption efficiency for organic compounds. With this method, purchasers of the substance can balance costs against removal efficiencies to determine the most economical purchase.
