Water Resources in Thailand's Resettled Villages
An interdisciplinary survey team, composed of specialists in water quality, silviculture, agricultural economy, agricultural engineering, and anthropology, undertook a survey of two differing provinces in Thailand to assess the successes and shortcomings of resettlement programs. The authors describe the interdisciplinary approach and the findings of the survey team regarding water resources and management. Improved local participation in such projects is suggested to increase the likelihood of long‐term success of the relocation programs.
