Quality Studies on Cocoon Filament from Defferent Fluorescent Colour cocoons of Bombyx Mori Using commercial bombyx mori bivoltine silkworms, Suliu x Suwu F1 and Qingsong x Haoyue F1 as experimental materials, their qualities of cocoon filament from the fluorescent colour cocoons were measured. Results showed that four quality indexes of cocoon filament length, length of nonbroken cocoon filament, reelability percentage and cleanness were ranged in an order as follows, yellow fluorescent colour cocoon > white fluorescent colour cocoon > purple-blue fluorescent colour cocoon. However, the quality indexes of cocoon filament size were in a reverse order to the above one. The raw silk percentage of yellow fluorescent colour cocoon was similar to white one, while that of purple-blue fluorescent colour cocoon decreased evidently. In addition, the reelability of the cocoons separately treated according to their fluorescent colour was better than that of the cocoons under colour-mixed treatment
