"Ready-mixed concrete is the primary product used for the construction of buildings and transportation infra- structure. Ready-mixed concrete is defined as concrete that is manufactured and delivered to a purchaser in a fresh state. ASTM C94/94M, Specification for Ready-Mixed Concrete, is a material specification that addresses the joint and separate responsibilities of the purchaser and manufacturer of ready-mixed concrete and those involved in testing the product for quality control and quality assurance. ASTM C94/C94M is invoked by reference in the ACI 318, Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete, and ACI 301 Specifications for Structural Concrete, published by the American Concrete Institute as well as in most project specifications"--
