Experimental investigation on geopolymer concrete
In this fast-moving construction world, the main problem of conventional concrete is the formation of Carbon-di-oxide (CO2). This is due to the production of CO2 during the creation of cement. As a solution for this, Geopolymer concrete (GPC) was invented. It has the capability to produce nil emission of CO2. In addition to this, in our modern world everyone wish to complete a project within a short span of time but conventional concrete takes more time for setting and curing. This disadvantage can also be eradicated by using Geopolymer concrete as it has the tendency of setting within less duration of time and requires no curing when evaluated to conservative concrete. In project we utilized a materials as GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag) and Fly ash that is alternative for cement in GPC which can also bring down the cost. This paper investigates the possessions of GPC with different fraction of Fly ash, GGBS and Alkaline Activated Solution (AAS).
