Coupled distributed control scheme for multi-energy systems with transmission losses based on event-triggered communication
Different from the traditional independent energy system, future multi-energy systems (MESs) will be equipped with a large number of distributed generators, flexible loads, and communication networks. Multiple energy resources will be integrated by coordinating multiple energy devices, which also makes energy management more challenging. To address these issues, a coordinated optimization model of MESs with power and heat transmission losses is developed, which can further ensure the actual supply–demand balance and avoid serious economic losses. On this basis, a coupled control mechanism is implemented in our fully distributed algorithm, which can effectively solve the coupled problem of power and heat and the distributed economic dispatch problem for MESs. We embed an event-triggered control strategy into the proposed algorithm, which can mitigate the communication burden and protect the privacy of the power and the heat system. Finally, case studies are given in this paper to validate the effectiveness of the proposed distributed control scheme in a 9-bus test MES.
