Power between potentiality and actuality in urban sustainability and urban resilience
Abstract. Power has a deep relation to potentiality and actuality in achieving urban strategies. Moreover, urban sustainability and urban resilience are the global directed approaches around the world that seek to reach influential cities that are dependent and developed. The research has found overlapped procedural relationships between potentiality and actuality to power. On the same page, the bipolar character of potentiality /actuality finds in urban sustainability and resilience. From that, the research question was: what are the power indicators from urban sustainability and urban resilience that characterized bipolarity of potentiality and actuality in each of them? Consequently, the research aims to find power indicators of potentiality and actuality in urban sustainability and urban resilience intellectual models to propose a new integrative model for influential cities. The research method follows the analytical classification methodology of previous models. Finally, the research comes up with a proposed model of integrative urban sustainability and urban resilience, which has two potentialities for urban development: transitional, short-term development power, and transformational long-term development power.
