With the development of highway traffic, the bearing capacity of many old bridges had been unable to meet the operational requirement. Many diseases had occurred. The old bridge reinforcement became an urgent problem to solve. This article mainly has studied the commonly used methods on strengthening T-beam transverse connection in the reinforcement. According to the disease that the Hekou Bridge T beam transverse connection was weak, this article put forward two ways to reinforce the connection; one is the method to reinforce the diaphragm beam, the other is to reinforce bridge pavement to form "composite beams". Analyze the stress and deflection of the two-way by the finite element; the value of the "composite beam" method is smaller, so choose the latter one to do reinforcement. Then, analyze the positive effect and negative effect of the "pavement effect"; draw the conclusion that the specific reinforcement method should avoid the negative effect, and take some construction methods to form "composite effect".
