Measuring Resilient Modulus of Subgrade Materials for Design of Pavement Structures
This paper presents a long-term effort undertaken in Florida to implement the laboratory resilient modulus measurement of unbound subgrade soils for design of pavement structures. Experimental programs were performed to correlate field and laboratory resilient modulus measurements on subgrade soils. Pilot projects were carried out to implement the resilient modulus in the flexible pavement design procedure. A case study was performed to validate the pavement design process using resilient modulus measurements.
