Detecting by Pumping Height and Treating with Self-Compensation Mud-Jack Materials for Voids beneath Cement Concrete Pavement Slabs
In order to solve the problem that the domestic and overseas research on the relationship between the voids beneath the cement concrete pavement slabs and the degree of pumping was little and the mud-jack materials were used for treating voids caused voids again, based on Yantai-Weihai highway testing section as backing project, the evaluation criterion for detecting the degree of voids by pumping height was presented by analyzing the statistical observation data of pumping height. The relationship between pumping height and value of voids was established with the practical detecting data of core drilling. Then the cement, organic and sand mud-jack materials were improved by using the shrinkage-compensating principle. Finally the suitable self-compensation mud-jack materials were recommended for treating the mild, moderate and serious degree of voids. The rechecking results of core drilling indicated that the reliability and accuracy of detecting voids by pumping height were high, and the treating effect of recommended self-compensation mud-jack materials were good.
